The source range
Method, populations and limitations
Entered weight is converted to kilograms, then multiplied by 0.8 g/kg/day for the U.S. healthy-adult RDA baseline; 1.0–1.2 g/kg/day for the PROT-AGE discussion of healthy adults over 65; or 1.4–2.0 g/kg/day for the ISSN discussion of healthy exercising adults. Displayed totals are rounded to whole grams.
These sources do not define a personal menopause-specific requirement. The RDA is a population baseline, not an athletic target. No disease, pregnancy, weight-loss or eating-disorder personalization is attempted. If selected, the even split uses the unrounded daily range and is rounded for display.
